Harvest 2025 was the culmination of one of the best growing seasons in our stewardship of Lytton Manor Vineyard. We had two harvests on Sunday, October 12, 2025: a morning one hand-picked by Negrete Vineyard Management for Lumberyard Cellars in Escalon, California, and an evening harvest with mechanical harvesters for our wine (available in bulk in Q1 of 2026). Starting at 6:00 AM, Winemaker Derick Webb oversaw the harvest of about 4.5 tons from our Pond Block and several rows in the other blocks.
Later that day, starting around 4:30 PM, the mechanical harvester arrived and the harvest of the rest of the vineyard began, finishing around 1:30 AM. Between the two harvests, over 55 tons of exceptional Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was picked at an average Brix of 24°. Our fourth harvest is the largest harvest in our short history with the vineyard, and the grapes looked and tasted outstanding.
